The Werris Creek Railway Station is the first Station to be featured in the November issue of My Newsletter.

When visiting the Werris Creek Railway Station, there are at least 6 different things to do.

3. 6 Stainless steel Sculptures to observe.

4. Take a good look at the Museum, which is spread over several rooms.

5. View the Model Train display

6. To visit the Station, you can travel by train or Car.

Werris Creek, the town, was the first Railway Town in New South Wales.

The Railway Journeys Museum is located in the Refreshment rooms of this Railway Station.
You can spend many hours walking around and looking at all the displays.
There are plenty of Photo opportunities as well.

There is also the Australian Railway Monument, where Railway Men who passed while at work are remembered.

The Station was Heritage listed on the 2nd of April 1999.

Good morning,
Today is Sunday the 30th of September, 2018.

I would like to tell you that I gained an interest in this Railway Station in 2001.
I met Chris Holley at the Railway Hut in the main street where a group of ex-Railway employees ran this hut so visitors could visit and take Photos of the Railway memoribilia that was on display. My Partner was very impressed by what she saw. We have followed the Progress of the Railway Journeys Museum and the Australian Railway Monument ever since that first meeting. I was fortunate to visit the Station the day it was Opened, It was the October long weekend 2005.. Since the Museum opened they have had a steady stream of visitors checking out what they have on display. It is reported that between 10,000 and 15,000 people visit the Station every Year. Well done to Chis Holley and his group of Volunteers.

Good morning,
Today is Monday the 8th of October.
Here's some more photos taken in November 2017.

The above 5 Photographs were taken while I was being given a guided tour of the second story of the Station, being the triangular section, a very interesting place. I have read somewhere on the Internet that the museum may be expanding into this room in the future.
